This is a 2019 Gibson Custom Shop Limited Lee Roy Parnell 1959 R9 Standard in Abilene Sundown Burst Gloss in a Gibson resurrected Lifton Case. This is gorgeous to say the least, and it weighs 8 pounds, one ounce. It is a 1959 R9 Reissue specially designed with the input of Lee Roy Parnell. This R9 is sporting a neck '57 underwound Classic Pickup and a bridge Classic '57 plus in the bridge position along with its all new Vintage Tone Circuit which uses paper-in-oil caps and vintage taper pots giving this guitar close to the punch and power of the iconic PAF pups. The top is a quarter-sawn maple top with gorgeous book-matched figuring. The mahogany body is solid without weight relief due to the low density (expensive) mahogany body.
