This is a new condition unplayed 2017 Gibson Custom Shop Tom Murphy Aged and Painted Les Paul 1959 R9 True Historic Standard Limited Edition. Weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. We are the first owners. Ships in the original aged Lifton style case. All paperwork and COA. 100% complete. This is a True Historic version of the 1959 R9 Les Paul Historic. Dual Custombucker pups, ABR-1 bridge, BB caps, etc. and all the good things with the R9. And- it is Murphy painted and aged by Tom Murphy. If you look carefully you can see Tom's initials on the edge of the face of the guitar near the volume controls. The body is mahogany, undrilled, with a maple figured book matched cap. Red standard aged back. C profile neck. The serial number is not the usual- the 2nd digit being "1". The case is aged as well. Plays and feels like a real 59, and produced in very limited numbers.
