This is a Custom Shop limited edition that was meant for Japan, as many special Gibson items are. We headed it off at the pass- so to speak: This is a gorgeous mint Gibson Custom Shop Ltd. Crimson Line Tal Farlow Hollow Jazz Archtop Electric Guitar in Ebony Gloss top with a Gold Top back and sides in antique gold. This is a laminate guitar ideal for amplification as it lessens the reverberation and feedback. The body has dual 57 classic humbuckers with a 3 way toggle switch, and ABR-1 floating bridge/saddle with a fancy Tal Farlow tailpiece. The pickguard is an outrageous (see the photos) color made for this guitar and not replaceable. The scroll Venetian cutaway is the design of Tal. Rosewood inlaid fingerboard with reversed crowns . Plek'd setup of course. The headstock is standard on the front for a custom shop guitar with a stinger paint job on the reverse side of black and gold. This truly is a magnificent example of a Tal Farlow. There are a few others in past years in black, but they are very rare, and none that I can see in black and gold like this one.
