This is a vintage 1979 - completed October 10, 1979 - Gibson Super V Jazz Archtop guitar in Vintage Sunburst.  It has been played extensively but has been well taken care of by a New Jersey musician- a Dennis Sandole product- who was Coltrane's mentor on music theory!!  Ships in the original case.  There are marks on the guitar commensurate with its age, and some very mild buckle rash on the back.  Many photos below attempt to show this.  There is no damage, no breaks, and no deal breaking marks.  It is all in , a very loved working man's jazz archtop. If you are looking for mint, please pass on this guitar.  See photos. The volute on the dorsal aspect of the neck-headstok joint was done by Gibson on guitars between 1969 and 1981.  Same with the undotted "i" in Gibson.  By 1981 everything was dotted again. 
Bookmatched spruce top, solid maple back and sides.  3 piece voluted neck, solid ebony fretboard with Super 400 Block Inlays.  Super 400 split diamond headstock.  Dual humbuckers with original hardware.  The exact humbuckers are unknown at this time.  Solid ebony bridge.  Original pickguard.  Engraved brass truss rod cover.  Notice the very long headstock.  Very low action.
